The Vampire Armand: the candle

Back in September of 2024, having just watched the latest TV adaptation of Anne Rice’s “Interview With The Vampire”, I spent the most peculiar ten days in my recent existence doing something I had never done at that point.

I decided to make a candle. Shaped as a sculpted portrait. Which would bleed as it burns.

I managed to create a couple of copies of said candle and send them out into the world while I could still use the postal services. There’s a heavily accented, condensed explanation of all the ‘how to’s and mistakes I made on YouTube (I’m linking it below this paragraph), but the funniest, TRULY funniest part is that, as far as I know, only two of the batch have actually been burnt. Most of the people who received the candle decided it was, and I quote, “too pretty to burn”, which I count as highly symbolic in this particular case.
